I posted a listing, and updated it as needed. But then it no longer allowed me to edit my post.
Now people "bin" items that were already sold, so the listing keeps getting bumped.

I have 2 questions:
1. Why cant I edit my own listing?
2. How do I close my listing so that it stops getting bumped back up?

I dont want people to think I am unresponsive, but I cant reply to them without bumping the post - and potentially having even more people again ask for items I no longer have. If I could edit my own post this wouldnt be a problem.

To your first question, a post can only be edited for a specific amount of time. Editing a post within the timeframe further extends the edit time. If you forget to edit again shrub the timeframe, you will no longer be able to (I cannot remember the exact time frame).

Second, there is no way to close your own topic. Best solution is to let it die on its own or, if you rather post, wait until your allowed to bump the topic and just post that the topic is no longer valid.

In the future, please post questions here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=34

If this was meant to be s suggestion, make sure to frame it with a change/solution and add a poll so users can vote :)

You can edit the first post for 3 days. Editing it extends that period to 3 days again, traders who want to keep using the first post generally do it every 2 days.

You can't close your topic but adding :locked: as the last reply does indicate that the topic is locked, after that just let the topic "die".

You can send traders Personal Message and inform them that the item(s) they want have been sold.

To supplement what bodierox was saying, for your first question the edit timer is 3 days for your original post, whenever you edit your first post the edit timer refreshes again therefore you’ll receive another 3 days.

As for your 2nd question I believe #2 already has it covered, if you’re still able to edit your first post then you can edit it out and say “closed” or something along the lines of that, otherwise you can simply untrack + not reply to it.

Feel free to PM me if you got anymore questions on the matter.
