i want to put in my trade topic either "available" or "unavailable" based on if i have been active in the past few minutes



is there a way to do this?

I want it to look something like:
Current status: Available
or
Current Status: Unavailable

so in my topic it would look like this

No way to do this at this time. Maybe put your status of trading avaliable or not in your signature and change as you log in or out

Pretty easy to tell if you’re available or not…by the last seen…
If someone doesn’t realize you’re offline, that is their own fault and they should open their eyes.

You do realize that you can/will be shown as online up until something like 5-10 minutes of inactivity, right?

Yeah? And your point is?
There is a "last seen" which tells you the last time they f5'd or clicked on anything that redirected them.
And it's like 20 minutes before the PM symbol goes dark.

Which also isn't the most reliable as someone can be at there but not clicking on jsp and seem offline. There isn't really a fool proof way to know if someone is still online or not just by quick glance.

As Stauf has mentioned there is no automatic way for this to happen. You'd have to manually change it in your sig every time you get on/offline for best accuracy, as you're limited to edit time in your topics.

There is no argument. It’s simply not difficult to click on their profile and see they are active or they arent.
Either way, it’s completely irrelevant.
This isn’t 1995 and we aren’t on dial up.
No ones screen is taking 5 minutes to load a profile.

I’m not sure how “use your eyes” is ignorant.
There are multiple ways to see if someone is there or not.

Everyday ppl post on my trade topics when I'm afk for 8+ hours and it's annoying.

Would also be nice to be able to link "last seen xx minutes ago" so they can clearly see I'm not available to trade at this time

It can be done but boy is it convoluted and you need to know programing.

Your "available" and "unavailable" can be an image.
Images are loaded from a link <- you can manipulate this - not the link but the image that is displayed.
You host the images and make a simple online app that grabs your d2jsp "last seen" time and swaps the image on the link if that value is 20+ (offline).

Auto shops had something similar to this if you remember.

So just get back to them when you return?
It sounds like the issue is that they spam PM you, in which case nothing can really be done about that unless you want to block them for not having eyeballs and/or a brain
