If I have reached maximum limit on my balance cannot claim gift.
If I can't claim the gift, will it return to the sender?

thanks

IIRC, you'd have to clear up your current balance so you can claim the new gift.

Found on the internet, might help you solve the problem for now.

The maximum amount of Battle.net Balance you can have on your account might be lower than expected if you don't have an Authenticator linked to your account. To resolve this problem, please add an Authenticator before trying to add more or spend some of the balance currently on the account.

So, after doing a few Google searches, I found this; https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/expiration-on-unclaimed-gifts/643331

Looks like gifts do not expire even after 7 years.

I'd recommend opening up a ticket with Battlenet support. That way you can get a direct answer and you'll have a paper trail in case it does expire.
