How long do I have for my Diablo 2 legacy account to expire if I don’t log in for a long time?

It's after 90 days of inactivity.

What happens if I have a character that wasnt played for more than 2 hours? If no other player chose that character’s name will i still have the chance to refresh that character and take the items from it?

You only have a 10 day timer for a new character that hasn't reached the full 2 hours. If you haven't reached the 2 hour timer it has already expired but If you find your character is expired, double click on your character to attempt to sign in. If the character name was taken, you will have no way to restore your character. However, if your character name has not been taken during the time it was expired, your character will be restored and the timer will be reset to 90 days.
