Hello, my friend forgot his password ( he didn't logged in for like 6 years ) and his yahoo email that was on account got deactivated.. he tried the d2jsp account recovery feature but didn't work. Any advice ? Thank you very much !

Outside of the recovery feature, the only other way to rectify the situation would be submitting a contact form here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/contact.php
This can be a process, so have your friend wait patiently for a response in the meantime.

Good call, I honestly hadn't selected the option in the drop-down to see that message pop up.
I'd wait for an appropriate response here from a site staff member - in the meantime I will try to do some research and see if there are any other routes, or if the AR feature is the only way.

I was able to reach out and I can confirm the only way to do an account recovery is through the account recovery feature, sorry!
My recommendation for your friend would be trying the account recovery one more time and simply waiting for a response.

Do not use the contact feature mentioned above for account recoveries. As Epiphany corrected themselves, using the account recovery tool: https://forums.d2jsp.org/recovery.php?c=1 is the correct method to go about recovering your account.

When attempting the recovery process, try to provide as much accurate and detailed information as possible.
If approved the email on your account will be switched to the address provided in the "What is a current working email address where you can be reached?" field.

As a hint that might help:

If the email originally used is deactivated, meaning it no longer exists, remake the exact same email. it'll work as the connected email for the recovery process.

Is this really possible to remake? They should keep it blacklisted forever exactly for this reason of possible account takeovers.

I had a yahoo account set to an old runescspe account. Somehow, the email was deleted, but runescape still thought it was connected. So I couldn't change my runescape password. I remade the email and requested the password reset, and it went right through.
