However, back in the days 2011-12 I was certain that you would get a "pling" or an insta notification when ur getting PMd or action in a topic?? Was this a thing or have i been dreaming? Do you have to manually update the page to see PM/happenings on site? Is there an option i cannot find?

uhm yeah. Doesnt seem to work for me however, i have it activated but i still gotta refresh the site to see new DMs/topic stuffs. :/

You get the push notification then have to refresh to see the pop-up, just like on PC.

Maybe you're thinking of the instant messenger since the push notifications weren't implemented until 2016?

hmm, idk know what i was remembering tbh, I just thought that in my early days i had some sound and direct notifications when i got a PM, topics, gold etc, etc. However using that push notifications and allow my firefox to, I still dont get anything. I have to manually update the page. Annoying asf

I’ve always had to refresh to get any form of notification. I dont think it’s ever been direct without needing to be refreshed to show you a notification. Like another said, the Instant Chat thing would make a noise notification for you if you had it active. But I don’t think it’s like say Facebook where if someone tags you in someone it pops up if you’re active.

but isnt this literally the case that you can have fixed? Its been aight for me since i mostly play solo and just MF, then i can just refresh manually, but when im playing chaos in groups etc i dont rly have the time to, so thats what troubling me.
