Our senior mod literally blocked me before I could finish my conversation that was sent via personal message.

How do you guys let this Pinokiot guy roam the forums?

I got in a big giant egregious argument with him and several over mods that was mostly public on the forums.

I then offered him an item on one of his ISO posts for 5k and was suspended for 30 minutes lol for “trade spam.” I’m on mobile and I can’t share the screenshot on the site but if there’s another way I’d be more than happy.

He has sent me several more harassing PMs since the argument incident and I have attempted to report these messages to another admin “eerock” his exact response was to use the report button. Well, it’s funny a senior mod would suggest that because as far as I’m aware there is no way to report a personal message while accessing JSP on mobile.

He is now just attempting to outbid my offer at items that he has no desire in and contributing more spam. If i am suspended 30 minutes for this, he should be to.

Also, he is literally on his 5th or 6th account and there are tons of people on PC and Xbox who can testify this which is a huge violation of the rules themselves and was a big part of the argument that started all of this.

If there is nothing you can do as a senior mod, can you please point me in the direction of somebody further up that I can speak to about this situation?

I apologize if anything sounds disrespectful, I don’t mean that at all.

Hey mate, i cant always respond to messages in a few hours - just keep that in mind

Harassing PMs --> We cant moderate PMs, but you can block the user from sending you messages. On the far right of any messages hes sent, you can click "block this user".
The report response from eerock was likely because he thought you meant he was posting (not pming).

As for his 5th/6th account, if you suspect someone of being a multi, please report it in the multi report tool (with evidence) here: https://forums.d2jsp.org/tools.php?a=1
It gets looked into by the admin team  (This would be the only thing that can help in this regard, as you asked to point out who you can speak to about the situation - this is where you'd report the multi suspicion)

Hope that helps mate!

This helps a tiny bit.

Is there a suggestion forum for more rules? I personally believe that just blocking these messages is not appropriate enough, when users are telling you to kill yourself or saying other members of your family and friends should be dead… or raped or killed there is a much larger problem. Just because these messages are “private” doesn’t mean they are acceptable.

I shared some of them publicly at one point, and my topic was closed and nothing was done and since that moment they have continued to come.

If these types of posts are not appropriate on the forums, they should not be appropriate in DMs just because they are private.

We dont have access to your inbox/private messages, thus they cant be moderated. Thats why the block feature exists.
You can make site suggestions here, in the site suggestions forum: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=258

Okay so I have a general question you.. this question will be sent to every single moderator on the forum from the bottom all the way up to the top and the results will be recorded, posted, and tagged… those who do not reply or give an opinion will be tagged as well.

Do you think it is okay to send those types of personal messages to people on a public forum that averages 4000+ active users logged in nearly every single minute of the day?

I think it's important for users to have their private messages remain private and inaccessible to others (even staff members), and for them to block users that harass them via private message. It's why the feature exists.
I highly recommend against going through with your "plan" - it doesnt achieve anything other than create drama and harass every single user of the moderation team. That's breaking multiple rules, and you will have action taken against your account by doing so.

Given this conversation went from reasonable to nonsensical, if you need further help you can post in general help.

First off I’d like to say.. respecting private messages is a good thing, but you can still protect private messages while providing a report lmfao. If a message is reported, it’s only going to how many people? and these people are all integral parts of running the forum… so if you’re exposed by ONLY admins/mods it is still extremely private. There are thousands of users here it’s time to grow up lol.. imagine the implications of a young D2R player that stumbles along this forum and is bullied into doing something extremely stupid by these messages lmao. This isn’t 2010 LOD anymore lol.

While I respect your opinion, I disagree.

This is completely part of the problem. I personally feel like the moderator team we have now is such a NICHE tight group that it’s become corrupt.

I believe that showcasing where our moderators and the team that run this forum stand is very important to keeping a clean and healthy forum.

Messaging moderators and asking for their opinion on this is not against rules and the general mass public should also deserve to know where they stand. JSP covers many countries, demographics, and even continents… the forums being ran by mods who do nothing and got there by who they know is useless lmao

There is a sense of irony here that I hope hasn't gone unnoticed.

We can't moderate things we cant see. We moderate the forums because we can see the posts; they also can't be faked. The block feature exists and is a simple way to prevent unwanted communication from users.

You've discussed ad nauseum this issue with more than just myself, having received your answer from multiple high level members of the staff team. Just because you don't like the answer doesn't mean anyone here is corrupt.

As I said in the pm, I warned against making a topic like this. Only post here if you need help. Do not post here if you just want to create drama.
If you continue to cause disruption and create drama, you will have action taken against your account. You will not receive further (friendly) warnings like this.
