I'm not sure if I'm the only one that this is happening to, but I've had 3-5 different users just flat out ignore me when I post to bin an item on their post. Now I understand that someone might miss a notification, so once I've seen that they have been online and have had plenty of time to respond (some were hours and some were days) I will send a pm or quote my original bin to make sure that they see it. After a few days and no response, I'll try again and more often than not, still no response. The one time I got a response after a bin and a couple of ignored pm's, the guy said that the items I wanted already sold and then proceeded to post them again on his next post for a higher price. This happens with people with any amount of gold 1k-1mil. It happens with people I've never traded with and people I've traded with before with no issues. I'm not sure if this is a bug and my messaged aren't getting delivered or if people are just ignoring me for some reason. I can understand ignoring a lowball offer if I was to make one of those, but I'm offering to bin at the seller's price, so I don't know why I would be ignored. The items I've been trying to get aren't super expensive or super cheap, usually in the 50-100fg range, about the average amount on most of the lists so I can't see it not being worth their time. This isn't the first time it happened to me either. It happens every once in a while, either with one user or a few.

It's frustrating being ignored and I just don't get the reason. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Whilst I understand this can be frustrating or lead to “bad mannered (bm)” trading,

every user including you have the rights to price and sell their items or services at any price they desire, they also have the rights to withdrawl their trades/services at any given time or refuse sales to any individuals.

yeah, I get that. It still seems weird to pass up the opportunity to sell the item that someone made a post for the purpose of selling, but everyone has their reasons I guess. I just think it would be easier to respond and say the item isn't for sale, even if it still is. Or take that item off the list if they changed their mind on selling it. At least that would stop a persistent buyer from messaging multiple times

Well there’re countless reasons why you might feel ignored, to name a few the site literally has users from pretty much every country in the world so there might be a time zone difference, plus everyone has work, school, family and emergency issues so to say therefore patience is the key when it comes to trading here.

yeah, makes sense. That's why I try to give people plenty of time to get back to me. Anyway, I wont bog down more of your time, I just needed to vent more than anything else. I didn't really think I would find a reason for people ignoring me, I just find it frustrating when the item I need is right there and someone wont sell it to me. Oh well, thanks for your time!

I can tell you from being a member here for many years, it's happened to me on a variety of games. It's like Lion has said the variety of reasons, but I know sometimes people will just ignore if they don't like your offer and instead of countering they will just move on and bump their topic. I would just suggest try your best not to take it personally. The good thing is with D2R you'll most likely always find more of whatever it is you are seeking. Hope everything works out for yah :)

If you instantly bin something it tells the trader that they are underselling or that person really needed the item. That being said it’s clear that he took your fast bin as him underselling thus trying to sell for more than what he set his BIN for. Not really that hard to grasp. That along with what others mentioned, it’s within their right to sell at whatever price they want to & if they want to sell to you or not.

They weren't fast bins though. They were bins on items that they had up for a while. In multiple cases, they were items that they had already been relisted multiple times or have since been relisted in a new post for the same price. I understand that people can sell for whatever price they want, but I'm not offering a lowball, I'm offering to bin at the prices that people have set for their items. If they don't want to sell, just tell me so and I'll move on. It's the fact that I know they have seen my posts/pm's and they can't be bothered to tell me they aren't selling to me for whatever reason. I just want a simple message to acknowledge that that they saw my post and the deal wont go through so I can move on to someone else.

they don't even know if the deal will go through as that's hindsight lol. just gotta take what they give, and give when they take. just part of the trading experience on forums, been like this for over 20 years. you'll get used to it eventually

also the item could have been sniped by someone else not even in the thread, so they don't even have it

it's faster for them to ignore you then tell everyone "i don't want to sell it to you" too
