Hi, I had someone offer me a friends and family 1-year subscription code for WoW in exchange for FG since this person works at Blizzard. I read through the Allowed/Illegal Trade rules for Battle.Net trades, but I wasn't sure exactly what the ruling is for this. Thanks in advance!

If they contacted you on battle.net its 100% a scam. Any trade that is legal, and allowable should/must originate on d2jsp.

This isn't a question about the origin of the trade - it's a d2jsp user who I'm PMing. I'm asking if the the 1-year sub code is an allowed trade or if there's some legal issue since it can only from a Blizzard employee.

Two things are glaring to me:

1. I doubt a blizzard employee would be offering some special trade on d2jsp
2. I'd be skeptical of "too good to be true" offers over direct message.

While some other user will provide specific rule guidance, maybe check the game sub forum and see if there are transparent/reputable posts that appear similar in nature.

I'm completely aware of the possibility of a scam - thanks for the heads up, but this isn't the focus of the thread. The user is a very old account with lots of fg/posts, who has posted in threads multiple times about the offer if you wanted to find it.

Can anyone familiar with the trading rules confirm/deny this type of trade? Thanks

Hey there,

You can not trade any physical codes (the ones you have to manually enter) outside of the donor forum.

You can, however, trade "giftable battle.net products" such as game time in the Battle.net Traiding Forum.

Giftable Battle.net game trades vs. FG / other giftable Battle.net products (ex; skins, pets, mounts, game time, etc.). Only ISO topics are allowed for these trades.

The only way you can trade WoW time would be as a giftable Battle.net product (not a code). Only ISO topics are allowed for these trades. An example of such a topic can be found here:
