I'm running a cookie cutter blizz sorc and recently found a cold sunder charm.
I do not really understand the purpose of it. I'm farming Ancient Tunnels (TC86) to try and find tals armor and was wondering if it's neccesary for me to even use a cold sunder in there since there is no cold immunes anyway?

Maybe I can use it and spend less points into Cold Mastery?

sunder charm reduces the cold resistance of mobs that have this resistance. Which ones you wouldn't normally kill without this charm

You should max out (click 20 times) Cold Mastery when using this charm to increase your damage versus cold immunes.
