Just got a new Acer Predator Orion 3000 Desktop
I7 12700
3070 gpu

I am getting “no signal” when I try to connect with display port but works perfectly fine with hdmi. Things I’ve tried
2 separate monitors
2 separate display cables that I KNOW WORK. Have tested.
Took computer to my friends to try to connect it to his setup “he also has 3070” and still no display.
Reinstalled graphics drivers
Reinstalled windows clean
Messed around in bios a bit to try things other forums suggested
Tried the handshake method where connect and power up monitor before the desktop
Maybe missing few things I’ve tried

I take it that you took your 3070 and plugged it into his computer, and the same issues occurred?
Such as HDMI works but DP does not?

if youve tried different cables, go into the menu's OSD and change inputs possibly. other than that if display ports are known good on the monitor and cable, the gpu display port is suspect.

only advice i can give in this situation is double check your cable make sure that the plastic on the end is not stopping you from putting the cable in all the way. other than that you could try a firmware flash possibly but at this point i doubt this will help you.

some monitors don't have the auto detect input feature, are you changing the display input on the monitor being used?

Make sure your PCI-E slot speed is on auto...if it's already is on auto try forcing it on 3x

just an idea, lmk if really interested and ill spend more time
any additional budget would most likely go strictly to GPU upgrade (followed by an additional storage drive if you own large af games like ark survival/multiple CoD's)
