Is there a way to bookmark/follow a subforum and get new post notifications (similar to reddit?)

Is there a rust subforum? I looked and couldn't find one if there is

You could contribute to the most recent suggestion if you think this should be added. If you can't post in there you can contact a staff member to bump the topic for you.
