Up Demon Machine for enchantress or no? I don't use a spirit so her strength is just enough to use the crossbow. Is it worth the str investment to upgrade or is it better to dump those stats into vit and leave the Demon Machine as the exceptional base? How much does that extra physical damage actually help?

I'd say no, you don't want to waste your time upgrading it, the phys dmg is nil, its all about the fire dmg.
