i have a question about whatsapp.

my oncle died this year and i still got the whatsapp chat. he had a picture in his profile which i didnt save. i allways look up for this chat when im sad but the photo is gone.
is it possible to see this photo again?

the simcard was a prepade one which i filled every month with money, but since this happend, i stopped,
i remember that you have a expiredy day on those simcards when you dont put money on it. mostly half year. is this maybe the reason, why i cant see a photo anymore? (number connected to whatsapp - number delete because expired = whatsapp account deleted?)
