so Ive got lastest shit for computer and never had a very powerful gpu before, wondering if its normal for the crystal to be so damn hot right infront of gpu?

with msi afterburn it says 47c, so should be fine but I could get my hand burned if I touched graphic directly

47c is totally fine for the 4090 and in fact it's a good temp if you're running games, because the heat sink and fans distributes the heat to the exterior of the card the surface of the card will definitely be hotter than the temp reading for the chip, one thing you might have to look out for is the melting pins for the GPU as there had been a lot of reports for pins melting for the 4090.

Modern electronics is designed to operate fine in temperate ranges until at least 100 * Celsius, no need to worry unless you're constantly hitting max temp and getting restarts.
