a staff member warned me in private message to stop 'necroing' the topics of my guild leader. i bump his topics because i like him. also i bump his topics because i think they are important. most of the time, the topic's last post was not older than 30 days.
i have 2 questions. when is a topic considered old in general chat? is it against the rules to bump someone else's topics?

If a member of staff gives you such an order, you should follow it. If you have any objections to the moderator's decision, please contact one of the senior moderators.

depends on the topic you're necro'ing would be my 2c

if the topic is for a ber rune that sold ages ago, then mod was in the right
if the topic is for a general idea/thing/whatever, then mod is in the wrong

happens from time to time, just PM an SM if you get a warn for it that's not justified.

FYI - its only against the rules to bump someone else's topic if either your making a fake offer on an item in a trading section, or if you are bumping before the 4 hour bump rule (or whatever the rule is for the specific sub) expires for the owner of the thread afaik
