He uses windows 10. His stock site no longer accepts Chrome and he had to switch to ME. When he installed it, it moved all of the contents of his download folder somewhere else and he can't find it them. It's empty now. He lived 6 hours away and isn't very computer savvy.

Anyone have any experience with Edge?

Could try restoring windows from a previous version, like a day before he switched things over.

Microsoft edge is built in the the windows operating system.

To change your downloads folder location in Microsoft Edge:

Open Microsoft Edge , then select Settings and more > Settings .

Select Downloads , and then, in the Location area, select Change.

In the dialog box, select a new location for your downloaded files.

Here you'll also find the option to have Microsoft Edge ask where to save each file before downloading.

It's not the download location he's worried about. ME moved all of his old downloads from the download folder that were there before using ME so they're gone.

I also also just look under the ME download folder to see if it was just all moved over there. They shouldn't have been deleted.

If he can remember any of the file names he can try searching for one in the search bar and then see what the new file location is.

i'd just teamviewer him and fix everything for him. easier than communicating a bunch of jargon back n forth that might confuse him more
