I’m not sure what the problem is but I can use the internet on my pc just fine to browse the internet, use youtube, and load up applications like steam and bn.net while using my lte hotspot, but I can’t play any online games (joining servers).I can join servers when I use regular wifi.
How can I fix this problem?
i used to be able to play online game with my old phone and for some reason i cannot with this new one. same pc and same sim card

Same location as well? Could be a dirty mobile IP or they could have started blocking mobile carriers IPs.

it is possible that this is a "guest" hotspot. I have a similar one at my company. You can browse most websites on it, YouTube also works. But it blocks mobile games and some applications, as well as video calls from instant messengers

yes.

this is usually already provided in the hotspot name itself. Browsing the network data won't tell you this because it won't be included there.

if on 5g try LTE

if you have a laptop or something to test if it is a network limitation then id try that too

if you have antivirus attempt disabling it

Update.
Bought a new phone. Working like a charm

Idk what the fuck the problem was but i tested every fix i could find on the web and none worked.

so glad i can play Minecraft again

When I upgraded my phone recently, they decided to give me a "deal" for my internet package. But failed to tell me that I'd lose the ability to hot spot.

Much complaining later, I have my ability to hot spot again. Maybe call your mobile provider and see if you lost that in the upgrade.
