Hello there!
I received a suspension for "trade spam" after offering someone a big discount on a d2r item. They were looking for a BP enigma, asking for prices - I offered them one for 80 fg (+774 roll on a 15%ED base, 1 off perfect). They sent me a message in private, offering 50, I said "Nope, but you can have it for 80" - then they proceeded to flame me. So I went to the thread, retracted my offer and posted a screenshot of the conversation, to warn others.
The other guy called for reinforcements from their guild and a friend of theirs even jumped in the thread to flame and report me.
Now, I don't quite get why this was marked as "trade spam" and the punishment I got was in all effect a slap on the wrist - a 15 min timeout. I read through the rules, I don't see this having any other effect (apart from the timeout) to my account, but just wanted to ask what I should have done in that situation - as I don't see a "report" option in the private message and I don't see why I was the one to receive a punishment in that situation.
I did offer a trade and then edited my comment to show why I'm retracting the offer. The item I offered trades for way more than the equivalent of 80fg, someone else below me offered a random 15%ED roll for 80, some other guy made an offer for 1k fg, just so his message doesn't get marked as "trade spam". Two people messaged me asking to buy my item for 80 fg, given that they know full well it's worth 5x+ that amount.
I just figured I'd make a nice surprise for some random guy on the forums, got flamed 3x and slapped on the wrist for it.
Pardon me if this isn't the correct place to address this, the automated message said there should be a button, but there wasn't one.
TIA!
