I’ve been trying to get links to show up and I’m hitting the mountain icon and inserting the link and it won’t work.

When you open that link, rightclick the image itself and copy the image adress of it.
In this case the direct image link is:




The direct image link always ends in a file extension such as .jpg, .png or .gif


You can also expand the Embed-Codes section below the image and copy the BBCodes there.
You can use the complete code but you will only really need the part colored in red:
