Normally, trade topics will not be closed by staff members if there is no violation of forum rules.

If the topic is done the best way to let it die on it's own is to stop bumping it and if possible edit your first post in the trade topic to let others know its done.
Normally you are able to edit the first post in a trade topic for up to 3 days, however if you click on edit and save the post before the 3 days are over this timer will reset.
If you remember to do this each time you will always be able to change the first post to something like 'DONE' / 'SOLD' or similar.
