I sold stuff, and I want to edit it so people dont think that i still have it, but there is only 'quote' up where it should be

It resets the timer after every edit iirc

The post edit time on trade forums is 3 days for normal users as far as I know.
As a site customer this expands to 5 days, as a verified user it is up to 7 days.

You can however click edit before that time is up to reset the 3 day timer.
If you continue to always do this within 3 days you will still be able to edit the first post whenever you like.

As Versace and derAmigo mentioned above the edit timer is 3 days unless you have customer or verified status,

I would like to add too that you may repost the entire topic and update the content of your trade after 3 hours (4 hour between your last reply/repost is the early bump rule) since your last reply on the topic was made about an hour ago.
