I banged my pinky toe against bathroom door week or two ago,

it turned purple and i never popped it,

just now i was testing to see where we were at with it, and i found out that my nail was detachin super ez

so i trimmed it and now im left with my nail still covering the bed ( i think )

but what should i do now that i know its very movable vertically (still connected at the cuticle)

If your nail looks pretty fucked and could come off just let it happen naturally. It will grow back but don’t force the nail break. Just make sure you clean it if it’s dirty.

nail is purple i guess from dried blood
still connected to toe at beginning tho firmly, however if lifted up easily will lift up and i can see what i think is the blood part under my nails

however enough nail still here covering and i can push down on it no pain etc

maybe worried it gets hooked on something and tears?

if water gets in that under nail part will it hurt? i imagine soap will hurt do i gotta just not be a lil bitch and suck it up or using soap bad idea

Like I said if it falls off it falls off. Just don’t force that situation. If it looks infected obviously go see a doctor. Just cover it and use some antibiotic ointment like Neosporin with a bandage.

This happened to me once ( I pulled the nail off because it was like 95% detached ) it will grow back with some time. If I remember right I just wrapped my toe with a bandaid until it started to grow back.

You may want to see a medical professional. That doesn't sound good.

Like if it’s 95% off like trashman said, it’s probably okay to yank off. I just wouldnt want the complete fracture of the nail breaking to rupture a blood vessel or whatever and not stop bleeding (i am not medically inclined lol).

cause ya i think its clean basically all will go vertical and i can get a clean peak at the farmland ( could be wrong at the very start of the nail where its clearly connected still maybe i don't have the perf angle to see but seems flimsy enough that its all loose)

I definitely do not want to see a picture to confirm but use your better judgement here haha.
