This is a non-intentional server-side issue on their end, which I doubt was intentional but is how the game was originally designed to accept such character names. And how their system filters and creates accounts.

However, there is also a email registration exploit which I've made a topic about months ago asking d2jsp to stop allowing account/char name trades because it is SO easy to ninja-scam people using the email recovery exploit, but they don't listen to me. (Not really relevant, but another blizzard flaw)

Negative. They are trying to fix the game.
I spoke with them today and they are currently running a massive ban wave along with Name Restrictions. This is only helping the game, getting rid of all the spammers & botters.

I'm reading more info now, looks like they're still working on it and if you contact them you maybe able to fix your account.

The ban wave is for (8) and Name Restrictions due to some spam botters use the names as fdgfgfdglordffdgh or kingsdggod etc.

ban wave sure... name restrictions make absolutely no sense at all...

No ones even had that..
Blizzard just f'd up royally and deleted accounts for something they messed up.
And making names i've had for years Rejected~

Apparently they tried to restrict names again (Like Diablo, Baal, Mephisto etc) so that if they were every deleted they cannot be remade.

Unfortunately, they royally fucked up and their servers are now picking up account names with the same names in them e.g. duke, king, baal, mephisto ect ect

The characters on your account will remain on the account for 90 days (until they expire) but Blizzard will be fixing the issue so that their servers can recognise your account names again and everything will be fine.

omg my acc its gone and there are not even king in the acc what do i do - do they come back or ?^^
