To be typing unicodes you'd have to have the alt key held down and numlock key enabled whilst inputing a specific 4-digit unicode value,
so your issue would be your alt key as well as numlock key.
You may disable unicodes manually by going to Windows Settings > Time and language > Uncheck Beta Unicode UTF-8 for support of global languages > click OK and that should temporarily solve your issue.
