To answer a few of your general questions:

A seller should provide all the stats for an item to give clarity to the buyer, and moderators in case something should happen.

You can request a refund, but once a trade is complete it’s up the the seller if they would like to honor a refund.

If you request a mediator, you will always have the opportunity to view an item before you finalize the trade instead of having the item dropped off.

Given all that, you are always able to make a scammer accusation topic if you still feel you have been wronged, which I can see you already did here.
