I don't like to think that way. People should learn to behave or get punished. Humor and joking around is okay, but the line between that and harassment can be blurred, and when it gets out of control and there fastens a normalized trend of harassment in order to fit in, that's like when a plague has set in and is out of control. That is why openness must be a thing. And solid leadership is and will always be the most important element in any cooperating platform. Because if or when someone is ignored and continue their harassment, sooner or later they will start harassing someone that takes damage from it. And the more good people there are on a forum that see the harassment, the more chance there is for someone to report it and alert the leadership. If everyone close their eyes, evil is allowed to run rampant and the leadership lose their function.
Also when there is only joking around and someone get harassed just for trying to make sense every now and then, that's wrong too. There should be an own humor subforum for that then. Like there is 95% meme/joke threads and 5% sensible threads, and those threads are spammed down too, that's wrong.
