Reminder that 2/3 is not a rule. It's a policy made by users.

Next thing you're gonna say is that the 2/3 rule has nothing to do with taking 2 spicy wings from a friend's plate/basket and then owing them 3. You know too much!

keep in mind though that there are:
1. people bumping pointless topics into oblivion without even reacting to offers to get high post counts
2. long-time users who are locked/banned because of scamming
3. rich users who are locked/banned because of scamming

so 2/3 does in no way gives you safety. if you don't trust somebody, take a look if their name appears in the SA subforum and consider using a mediator for risky/high-value trades. mediators are actively offered and advertised by JSP itself, there is no shame in asking them for help

EDIT: regarding @ symbol
in items it is short term for 'at all resists', some people write also ar/@all/allres
in offers it is shirt term for 'I offer xx fg at item #y' or 'I buy item #y at a price of xx fg', some people write 'vs'

This information is really great. As a fairly new user, my gauge for how trustworthy someone is, was to look at their fg and post count. I had assumed that since they had that many apparent trades, they could likely be trusted. I’ve been saving up for an Enigma, so whenever that day comes, I’ll likely request a mediator. Thank you for the information!
