You literally can not do a cross realm trade.
What i am asking is what the exact situation you sent to the trade mod was, because there is no cross realm trades on d2r so the rule should not need any clarification on that front.

For example, if you buy an item from PC forums and sell them on the Xbox forums.

This was the situation in which I got the mentioned feedback.

I think that's just them not understanding the question fully, or not understanding how the D2:R trading system works.

So basically my suggestion would be add to the rule that this is not applicable for cross trading on d2r

It's not applicable because it's not applicable in the first place. Everything is combined into one giant realm (D2:R) and each platform (Xbox,PSN,Switch,Europe,Asia,NA) is just a "different server". You're just swapping items between "servers" and not "realms/games/cores".

I agree with you 100% but I had a topic closed claiming this rule. The matter was escalated to all trade moderators and the final guidance was that this would be deemed an illegal trade, this is why I am here, so I can clarify whether or not it would be applicable.

Can you link those threads? It could be as simple as the wording in the post.

It’s not a wording issue, the matter was discussed in depth with the mods, Specifically with Devil, and he escalated to the others for a final guidance. He was very nice with me btw on the assessment.

Was it discussed with more than 1? If so, I think this just comes down to ignorance on the Trade Moderators part.

If you talked to more than 1 than I'm not really sure what to say.

I don’t think it’s ignorance, because the rule can be interpreted in this way too if you think about it, hence my suggestion to make it clearer. So the mods are just enforcing the rule as it can be interpreted as such.
