So my girl and I are looking into getting internet at our place. We live out in the country & I'm not certain what would be decent.

The fastest we can seem to find is 29.99 a month for 25 MBPS. I was wondering how fast or slow that is. The computer would mainly be to play d2, runescape, and watch youtube. There'd be basically no downloading or uploading that we couldn't wait to download.

I just dont wany dial up speed... Looking for some input from you great lads.

thats more than fast enough.

That is relatively slow if you have someone streaming something like Netflix or Hulu and then someone else is gaming.

25 usually the amount needed to stream 4k alone plus have some standard internet usage. But since you stated you arent a power user ( heavy streaming in home and uploading) you should be fine. Basically you don't have room to grow

you should be able to get a business class deal. that would do 100mbps and you will like it much better. its more money but worth it in my opinion .

as long as they don't gimp you on upload speed, pretty much anything above 10 is fine

What on earth is even a "business class" connection?
Like a corporate internet connection? Why would he need that if he's just gonna netflix w/ the GF? For the SLA's?
Why not just get a 25mbit DSL or whatever (never heard of a X5Mbit fiber) like proposed in the 1st post. . .
