not to be that guy but....bold.

I know the meter tracks the usage, but the energy company I'm with doesn't give us a chart of where all the energy is coming from. Just a total usage. I want to track / measure the usages in each room/outlet. As a visual display (live feed)

then you gotta do it per outlet with the things i linked.

the main meter isn't designed to work like that.

as for larger appliances like the fridge/washer/dryer/water heater idk if anyone makes 220 plug smart outlets.

I see, is it possible to request something like this from the energy company maybe? To upgrade to a more modern meter with a live visual feed system? Money is not an issue, I just don't want to touch anything as I'll fuck it up bigly.

If not, I just think i'll say fuck it because not going to re-plug in everything in the house. Rather wish something could be installed at the meter / line instead :(

should be your best choice.

breaker box is the midway point in the system before it goes into individual outlets so it's either this or the outlet things i linked first.

also funny how reddit fails and jsp solves it for you in 30 minutes. people wonder why i treat this site like facebook lols.

Okay so my father is an electrician and he said the best way would be to just keep an eye on your meter. Check it everyday, even after you've noticed you've had a lot of appliances on. Also LED lightbulbs are a way to save a lot of money in the lighting department. And if you have the option (it sounds terrible) use natural gas for your furnace and your stove. It is incredibly cheaper, at least where I live. As far as I know with actually getting a monitoring system, the closest Ive seen (haven't researched it to be honest) is the nest. My mother purchased one and it is mainly as a wifi thermostat but I believe it has some sort of monitoring on it.

Edit: I hope this helps :/

Yessir. If i may ask how many square foot is your residence as well as how much are you generally paying a month in utilities. Also side note, how much has your water been? What state do you live in?
