@OP Next time PM a trade mod, there is nothing anyone in gen help can do and a trade mod would most likely see it faster via a pm.

The problem is that you guys seem to actually have no clue what the rules are that you are supposed to be monitoring. You close posts for stupid reasons which then makes people post topics like these. THEN you contradict yourself on each individuals topic. The fact is, yes the answer has been given. You ARE ALLOWED to post updates, counter offers, shoot down lowball offers, ALL IN YOUR POST. You DONT have to wait for the 4 hour bump just to update, you don't have to wait 4 hours just to respond to someone and you DON'T have to do it via pm. ALL of which are "reasons" that topics have been shut down for especially recently as far as I've noticed and all are legitimate reasons to be posting on your thread before the 4 hour mark.

If you then have a problem with someone closing your thread accusing this rule, you can PM him and ask for clarification and/or assistance.

What will get me nowhere is moderators who have no clue what they are supposed to be monitoring and who shut down topics with legitimate "early" posts. Teach the mods the rules before you set them upon the gen pub "enforcing" those rules.
