Downloaded some older games from Steam that I used a controller back in the day but now that I am trying them with mouse and keyboard, they just don't feel right.
Can someone help me pick out a controller for my PC.

I remember trying to use the ps3 controller back in the day for PC and you needed some 3rd party program to use it and bind the controller buttons to keyboard buttons.

Is there controllers now that just auto sync up with your computer and they are fluid in the controls.

Okay, so here's the easiest way.. If you have an Xbox, just plug the USB cord into your computer USb slot, and then plug in controller. It should auto sync. If that doesn't work, you have an option (depending on how new pc/laptop is) a bluetooth setting, and can set it up that way. I literally us a xbox one controller tbh. I have a wired one, and my wireless that I use for xbox and my laptop. all are interchangeable :)

Is the bluetooth laggy?

Bluetooth shouldn't be laggy. I use a Xbox One controller for some older games (DMC3), but I think it depends on if the game you're playing supports button remapping.
If your motherboard doesn't support it, you can get a bluetooth adapter off Amazon for fairly cheap that will plug into any USB slot on your PC.

Ah yeah, bluetooth is notorious for having delay when it comes to audio. Sadly not really much to be done on that front :(
Luckily bluetooth controllers don't have this issue. I play DBFZ with one and have no latency issues, but I am directly next to my PC tower so not sure if being further away would cause a problem
