I remember trying to use the ps3 controller back in the day for PC and you needed some 3rd party program to use it and bind the controller buttons to keyboard buttons.
Is there controllers now that just auto sync up with your computer and they are fluid in the controls.
Okay, so here's the easiest way.. If you have an Xbox, just plug the USB cord into your computer USb slot, and then plug in controller. It should auto sync. If that doesn't work, you have an option (depending on how new pc/laptop is) a bluetooth setting, and can set it up that way. I literally us a xbox one controller tbh. I have a wired one, and my wireless that I use for xbox and my laptop. all are interchangeable
