I can’t figure out how enchantress gets up to 5k+ damage?

Not sure whether “adds fire” on equipment is very helpful (?) or is it all about the plus skills on the Sorc. For instance, lawbringer sword

Hi ,

here's a chart on how enchant scales: https://diablo-archive.fandom.com/wiki/Enchant_(Diablo_II)

Enchant works by adding additional fire damage scaling off your physical damage, the fire damage takes a dip on fire immunes but you'll still get an AR bonus.

In-future you can take questions like that to the Strategy & Guides section: https://forums.d2jsp.org/forum.php?f=87 , users there will be more than happy to answer your questions.

Peace!

Fire mastery add dmg to yourself during enchant then the dmg you give to someone else with same enchant. Cose fire master add to your own fire dmg on top of the enchant dmg.

So in sence fire mastery adds twice in enchant yourself. Once enchanting others

“adds fire” is nearly worthless. Just get as much +skill, sorc skill, fire skill as you can. Fire rainbow facets also work well.

Slight pedantic correction on my part, but the fire damage added is flat, not scaled off the physical. (I.e. it isn't like in POE where "added fire" adds 25% of your physical damage as extra fire... it just gives you + flat fire damage)

I was hoping that Fire Mastery and enchant synergies may increase the damage added by Spirit Forge, but I don’t notice a big difference.

Enchant will not scale additional fire damage added by equipment.

Enchant is a flat amount of fire damage added to attacks. Enchant always deals the same damage range regardless of what weapon, or items you have equipped, unless noted below:

Enchant is scaled by the following:
Hard points in synergies
enchant level
fire mastery level
% fire damage items

What does not work with enchant directly:
- enemy fire res on hit
- adds 1-2 fire damage small charms
+ skills to synergies

Thank you! Just to to confirm negative fire resistance (ie from facets) doesn’t work?

they do not add damage to skill enchant, however... if you are an enchantress, and you enchant YOURSELF... YOUR attacks will correctly use the -X fire res on hit stat.. but only if you attack. (Your merc will not get it, and you wiill not apply that mod to others with enchant)

Make sense? Likewse, if you enchant a player, and they have that mod from facets or phoenix, it will correctly work for them.
