Hi @njaguar,

I hope things are well and you are safe.

I just wanted to kindly suggest the following rule below to be revisited at some point, specifically for D2R, now that the game is global and there is no limitation, as of yet, from Blizzard to perform such actions.

llegal Trades:

Do not trade items cross games/realms/cores.

Let me know your thoughts on the matter.

Thank you for your time,

Andros

Can someone on Xbox join a game with someone on PC at the same time?

I think this rule is to combat trading someone an item on East and receiving an item on West, or someone trading D2 items for WoW items etc.

The cross realm rule does not apply to d2r.
Basically if you can do it without trust trading items it is fine, the realms are not split on d2r, east to west on old d2 would have been a trust trade with items and very hard to prevent scams.

No, actually not crossplay, only cross progress. If you have an Xbox and a PC you can play with your characters and items on each platform, and thus can trade with players on both sides.

I have gotten a feedback from the trade moderators that this would be deemed an illegal trade here per the above rule. That is why I wanted to suggest the above.

What was the exact situation described?
Because a cross realm trade on d2r is not even possible.
You both have to be on the same realm to trade.

Since it's cross progress this rule wouldn't apply. You can't trade from Xbox to PC, but you can trade Xbox to Xbox and then just continue playing your char on PC. This opens up a huge realm (haha, get it?) of possibilities for drops since everything is basically one giant server.

I agree with you. I just wanted confirmation from upper management on whether this is or not allowed here in d2jsp.
