hello, i reported a few signatures violating the signature rules, according to the Official d2jsp Site Rules
i was replied to by a mediator that they do not violate the rules

I see what ur saying the rules kinda contradict themselves so according to you my signature would be in violation?

Which user's signatures are you talking about? Feel free to pm me them or post them.

*Why* do you bother with something like this...

any user that adds anything beyond his 400x150 signature image, yours for example

because some people feel free to add text around their image extending their signature area close to what is double the original rule's size

this is correct…… and he is allowed 3 lines of text.

Signature Rules and Guidelines (violations may result in loss of rights to have a signature):
The entire size of your signature shall not exceed 400 pixels wide by 150 pixels high.
Text sections of your signature shall not exceed 6 lines of text if you include no images, and 3 lines of text if you have an image.
Total size of the images contained in your signature shall not exceed 70 kilobytes.

once again "The entire size of your signature", which would be referring to everything in the signature area, otherwise the rule would say "the size of the image in your signature" and not "the entire size of your signature"
once again, i posted this because there is obviously trouble in the ability to comprehend the original idea, and the fact that most of the users with images in their signatures bypass this rule, confuses everyone into thinking it is non-violating

So the one who wrote the rules, used the wrong phrasing.
Send njaguar a pm about it, I presume he's the one who wrote the rules.
