They import an item with the enigma stat unsocketed (so it doesn't have runes effects and it can have as much socket as you want) and socket it with another rune runeword to avoid b.net to delete the item.
That's what ive heard. Just to note also, this is really dumb to buy those items for that much monee as it will get deleted with the new patch...
