Smite needs IAS depending on what base weapon you use. Anything but a Zerk for PvP is stupid.
If you're talking about GM melee, Barb and Smiter aren't even part of that realm. If you're talking about duels in general, then gtfo because you have no idea what anything is worth. No BvC would use those gloves, and it doesn't matter what a smiter uses since they'll own either way.
This is not to say his gloves are or aren't OP'd.
