there is a 1:1000 chance of poffing just like you up a jah ber ect runes have a small chance of poofing due to game calculates same id in sever
this happens when same items are in same server and both of you leave game within a 2 minute difference

wouldn't they have different Item ID's if the ones the sellers has are unrolled and his were rolled.

if the seller sells lets say 4x enigmas to 4 guys

4 of them go on different games
2 of them land on server .51
res are in server .11
and .102

this is an example.
since both guys who entered game
on ip .51 server is scanning for the items they have
they roll the runeword and leave game between a 2 minute time frame
the game sometimes thinks 1:1000 its very rare the same id number thus poofing the 2nd one that was made.
im unsure if its the 2nd one of both. on average times yes it does give and its supposed to give a different id number
it happens the same as holy shield its not a prefix that can land on a scepter but if it cannot roll any other prefix a holy shield mod lands on it
this is why its extreemley rare (hs scepter).

thats the risk of buying unmades..."Dupes"

Buying Dupes is a risk.

if battle net ever does wich highley wont do a clean on dupes ....95% of diablo 2 chars in ladder would be naked.

i cannot give you this answer...
