You may need to change the hex code on the item.. Go to youtube.com and look up hex code hero editor and it will show you how to change the hex so that you will be able to do it. You will need a scientifc calculator but there is one on ur computer..

This doesnt work with all skills so good luck doing so.

i used to mess around with hero editor on single player i couldnt ever figure out how to get the non-character specific skills to cast on charms either.

i been messing around on hero editor for hours lol

depends on what ur trying to summon... some things you cant summon from charm an others you can... what exactly r u trying to summon? like a necro spell wont work but a reanimate target will
