Forgive me if I have missed something; I only got as far as the first 10 pages or so (also I am new to this forum!). So maybe there is something significant that I passed over, but this is a very interesting topic, since vampirism is undoubtedly an enticing area for occultists and even those who (consciously) would deny such tags. There is a reason why it has become commonplace even amongst the 'muggles'.

I think the interesting thing is why any being chooses to leech off another - either energetically or physically (i.e. in blood). The teacher, and I do not know if there is any archeology backing for this said that at first mummification was not done to preserve the body becouse that would be good for the soul. The Egyptian idea is a bit similar to the Taoist idea, that the soul have several parts. Stealing energy, as long you are careful with it, has many uses. It helps you to do more than you could with your usual "charge", it can help you heal if you are sick, it can help you get in a better mood when you are down, it can help you rain fiery vengaence upon your enemies, and many other things. I have seen the "victims" go from "perfectly fine" to "one week in the hospital" after twenty minutes of energy stealing, and that was the first try of the Magician doing it. And what is substance but energy? Practice stealing energy from Concepts: Relationships, Friendships, Love itself. Yes, the practice of Vampirism can be as you say - And there are even examples of Vampirism being used in a, shall we say, constructive way. I just generalized it in such "negative" or "darwinist" way because it can't be fully considered an "inofensive" practice: There are just too many variables for the risks to be considered non-existant.

Even if the "victim" is willing, or just a little bit is taken from a great amount of "victims", there is no way to be sure it wasn't "just enought" as to diminish their current potential to succesfully face a situation about to happen. And since the mage is fucking with the one variable that, more or less, make all the other variables work the ripples can get very ugly, very fast. That doesn't mean i am against this technique - It was the first one i actually "mastered" to a certain degree, and i abuse it since i am the very model of the retired, thin and pale, physically weak, unhealthy wizard. There are, of course, a few exceptions, people who only take as much as they need and never drain others entirely, but for the most part, I have found that that sort of problem corresponds directly to immature and/or dependent, drama-queen behavior. For these people, there always needs to be a scandal or a conflict. Moreover, in these conflicts, they are always the victim, the only voice of justice and reason in an environment of tyranny and oppression. Certainly, not every person who behaves like that is a psy-vampire, very far from it, in fact, but the correlation is there.

You are pretty much right about that. The effect such understanding is going to have on the individual, then, depends on him. I didn't say one should do nothing because he could hurt someone. I only say one must always remember anything he does, specially when dealing with Magick, can and, possibly, WILL hurt someone. And then live with it.

For a more detailed explanation: Yes, even seeing me happy or sad can affect someone's mood. That change can turn in a chain reaction that end with him or her under a big truck's wheel. There was nothing i could have done - But i still must bear that responsability.

It is mostly a philosophical standpoint, so you are free to prefer a diferent one. I just believe the LHP, wich i in some measure "embrace" more by accident than will, is a lot about responsability and the tribunal you subject yourself to. the trouble in discussing them, is that there is not a common consensus on the definition of the term.

the differences of opinion, regarding what exactly a psi vamp 'is' seems to mainly fall into a handful of axis, in each of which there being 2 possible views.

the most important axis I think are these :
- consciously feeds /vs/ unconsciously feeds (pre-'awakened')

- uses energy manipulation (even unconsciously) to feed /vs/ aggravates people in some manner to feed on what is shed.

- moral intent (unconscious or 'conscious management') /vs/ amoral intent (always conscious - predatory)

- actually *needs* the energy /vs/ *wants* or is addicted to the energy

depending on how one views psi vamps, along these axis alone, we could end up discussing up to 16 different types of person, all under the same label. and arguing into the wee hours, etc. arriving sometimes at 22 pages of 'semantic' discord.

I do not kill myself so children in Africa can have my money, I live well knowing that I could have sent a child to school or given a family a house for the money the computer I write this on cost. And it do not bother me. If one is going to be concerned about everyone that might, possibly perhaps be harmed by one's actions, then well that is a recipe for depression is it not. I worry about those I affect directly, and for my friends and family and for the rest, I just do not care. I do not see it as my responsibility if somone I ask for the time, get one second late, so the porter is three seconds late so the valet get someone's car five seconds later than usually and that leads to somone ending up in a car accident. It is not my responsibility and it is not my fault. If I can not anticipate such a reaction, and would have no way of knowing what action would prevent it, then to assume responsibility for that is just, and I mean no offense, but it is completely ridiculous.

In fact thinking like this eliminate the concept of responsibility, as if the starter of a causal chain is responsible for all results of that chain then whoever created this world is responsible for everything happening, good or bad.

We are just biological organisms. What we refer to as consciousness is the result of the chemical and electrical functioning of our purely physical brains. When our brains cease to function, there is no more consciousness because the organ that provides us with our consciousness has stopped working. Most animals possess some sort of consciousness but do we assume that it continues on after they cease to be? Most of us don't. (Think about it; do we believe in an afterlife for rats?) Humans are no different. When we die, that's it. We are gone for good.

One morning i woke up in my bed around 4am and felt absoloutely freezing looked up from my bed their was some figure at the end looked like wearing all black and something going around the waist seemed to be moving.

My eldest son and I were out walking down a country track near our home one misty November morning. Out of the mist at about tree top height came two "Spitfires". He would send her away (i never knew where) then he would make us 3 kids do rediculas things. Crazy rules. He raped me once. He frequentually hit us. Then after 3 years, my mom finally got a divorce. She found out that he was involved in a huge drug ring. He got very angry and wanted us dead. He would put posion in our house. Like in our cups and all on our floor. It was posion for the grass outside. Fertilizer. He also tried shooting us through our windows. That was the most scarey thing. He would chase us. We had to hide all the time. We went to my moms friends house and stayed there a lot. We told the police. They literly thought my mom was crazy. Everyone did. No one believed us. Eventually he stopped. We had to move and soon after he stopped trying. I was 4/5th grade at the time. I am tramatized from it.

Nobody has ever threatened my life. But I am a Firefighter, and I know my life is in danger everyday. The way I overcome that is by thinking about those in even more danger than myself. My mother was in the same situation though. Maybe not quite the same, I havent heard you complete story, but my mother was abused and ended up in the hospital probably 20 times from abuse, by a couple different men. She always said "I fell". She said it out of fear. I was only about 5-6 at the time. But I hoped on one of the guy's backs, and started hitting him, and told him if I ever saw him again(he decided to leave, Thankfully) But I told him if I ever saw him again, I would kill him. He's lucky i've never seen him. Sort of a short story... haha.

I remember a time when my husband was unfaithful to me and his "girlfriend" came to my house. I prayed that God would allow everything to go smoothly. It did. Although she was talking trash, on her cell phone on the way to my house, when she got there, there was no confrontation. I simply told her, that my husband would not stay with her or be there for her in the long run because he was married to me. God protected by life. I know this because she was the same woman who stabbed my husband 2 months later.


We are living in a very tense & dangerous world. Everywhere troubles & problems are found. Misunderstanding and hypocrisy are the two main reasons for this danger.
God created humans to love others and do good for the society. But we are not worry about the past. The world is highly polluted by so many matters. But we have to use it in our daily life. 3 - There are miracles today, but they are different kinds of miracles specific for the New Covenant, and the New Covenant is the blood (wine) and bread (flesh) as Jesus said at the last supper. There are thousands of documented miracles involving the eucharist.

They aren't canonized as scripture for our Bible, but they are determined authentic prophets of God, canonized as Saints, and their writings/revelations are considered divinely inspired. Time is different to God. We can't understand what it's like to have no time, but in heaven there is no time. It seems pointless. And yes the test is unnecessary because God knows who will go to heaven ahead of time. But there is a point, and God will show us that. God is fair even though it doesn't always seem that way. We cannot understand His justice. There are prophets now days too. God gives us signs now too. But Jesus did say: "blessed is he who does not see yet still believes."

As for punishment and reward, well, I see it differently. There are spiritual laws that we have to discover like physical laws. We must learn to abide in them.

In the end, we shall all be fine. It's just that there will be some who will have to go through states which we may consider hellish. Just as the droplets of water are part of the ocean, in the end we shall discover that we too are part of God. Whatever suffering we may have to go through, it is a way for us to learn and evolve to a higher order of being.

As to miracles, they still happen now. Well, in the area of prayer healing that is.

The bible speaks about "Armageddon" as being the time when God will destroy the wicked. All time will not end (as the righteous will continue to live on earth in paradise).

Jesus predicted a time of his "presence" when there would be an increase in bad conditions. These he said would be a 'sign' that the system would soon come to an end.

Jehovah's Witnesses indeed predicted based on bible prophecty that the "Time of the end" or the last period before god destroyed the wicked, would start in 1914. They did not know how long that "period" would be because Jesus said nobody does.

They still believe that nobody knows when god would finally destory the wicked.

The Watchtower of January is not predicting a date, simply pointing out that the bible indicates that some people destined for heaven may be with us during the tribulation (time when God destroys the wicked).

Apart from 1935 all the dates in you question were of YOUR origin not the watchtower.

How I perceive this is;

Media being in the hands of big business and being rich is a worldly point of view. The information of the good news is free and is the message of Christ, this was set up by God to cost nothing and is considered a rich possession in spiritual matters. Having a faith is not what brings a person worldly riches , that is not what the scriptures promise. It can bring contentment which money can't really buy for it will always long for more. Serving others is where even the poor can be participating and it does not take money, just time and a heart that loves and cares for others.

Wouldn't this mean all souls sleep until resurrection day?
