you're probably seeing things as you cannot cube eth magical items into 3 sockets

best you can get is 2 socket ebug cs of quickness.

but if you want 3 sockets. you can also get a 3 socket cruel crpytic sword of quickness thats indestructible but not ethereal

never seen an eth one though
