What's going on in d2 realm nowadays - is there still lots of hacks (tppk, duped items etc?)
And last question: When was the last ladder reset and do we know when next will be?

yeah it's all filled with shit hax just as it was
ladder reset was in june 08, reset should be in few weeks/months cause beta server is already running rdy for testing

unfortunately - not rly
beta testing of upcoming patch 1.13. u can select it in the realm choice menu (Europe, Asia, US, Beta) and test the beta version of the patch
most importantly no more iron maiden from mage monsters in 1.13 = melee comes back. lowered fire enchanted damage. increased corpse explosion dmg. not much more
google is ur friend

However, I'd like to know about hax... has it increased or decreased in, say, the last year? Not fun when EVERY public game in hc = insta-pk :\

it's the same or increased slightly. and every public hell run will prolly end up with tppk
what's worse: blizz didnt even TRY to fix anything considering hax (especially tppk) in 1.13
since 1.12a the cd is not needed to play d2. Just copy .mpq files (d2music.mpq and d2video.mpq if im correct) from the cd to the d2 folder on ur disk and voila
