Well, bravo, it's nice to hear from someone who is an authority on the correct pronunciation of abbreviated item names come forward and share his wisdom with us! It makes perfect sense that there would only be one correct way to say it.

And to think that until now I'd been pronouncing it "soj" with a long vowel sound... but only in my mind! Thank god I never said it out loud, right professor? What an embarassing faux pas that could have been!

Oh, since we're on the topic, perhaps you could enlighten us all as to properly pronounce HoTO as well? We idiots would all be sincerely grateful to hear the official verdict on this one too, I'm sure. And how about CoA while we you're at it.
