Here's my detailed example:

I have a Belkin N+ Router (300mbps Wireless-N)

So when I get a r/d I do the following:
1. 192.168.2.1 to go to my router config page and login.
2. Go to MAC Address Cloning section, there will be a MAC Address. It should be modifiable.
3. Change any part of your MAC Address. For example, if my MAC Address is 00:11:22:A3:33:DC, I can change it to 00:11:22:A3:34:DC or 00:11:22:A3:33:DB ot 00:21:22:A3:33:DC and so on.
4. Click Apply Changes. I have to wait 60 seconds for me router to make the changes.
5. You wiill be offline and not connected to the internet, this is where you follow Krazie's instructions on power cycling the modem.
6. Power Cycle the modem until all your modem light indicators and back to normal, check you are connected to the internet.
7. If you are connect to d2, there should be no r/d.

The fact I change any fact of my MAC Address just measn the ISP assigns you a new ip address for EACH specific MAC Address. Since I can change the MAC Address to something different each time. I can get infinite ip address resets.
