Im at my cousins house, and he has diablo but its a very old version of it.
And we dont have a cd and it wants cd to start up.

Is there a way i can get it to work without the cd?

If you take the cd keys (both for d2 and d2 lord of destruction)
And register them digitally on Battle.net

thats the thing, i dont have the keys or the disc with me.
i just have it installed and everything... thought the new patch allowed us to play without disc? and if so where can i dl the patch at.
D2 hasnt been played in forever on this computer and thats why...
