i heard of the closed beta on the last day so i missed out on a chance to try it but i have a couple questions
were the graphics similar or were they downgraded because its now a free download game?
was the gameplay similar to how it was when hellgate london servers were up?
did they say what subscribing would give? do players who sub have a huge advantage over those who dont?

graphics are a little better. exact same gameplay, there isnt a subscription. its a micro purchasing thing as far as i know of

Were the graphics better? I dunno I think they were about the same. But it was absolutely lame on medium settings I had to max everything out.
I think premium members can purchase items from a cash store, and can also buy stuff like inventory expansions and something to reset stats. Don't take my word for it though, I'm just assuming.

The new client no longer supports directX 10 only 9 so how can the graphics be better.

No word on whether they'll provide support for DirectX 10 or 11 later down the line.

If you ran it before on directX 9 (Due to not having windows 7 etc) then the graphics really haven't changed for you there's a couple graphical bugs to be fixed but nothing major.

The gameplay is similar, except for some changes like:

station changes (new common station at the beginning)
Quest names and stories
Area and station names
New/changed area tiles (larger areas in many of the first two stations)
Presumably abyss and tokyo, though we didn't have time to get there in 1.5 days - I heard stonehenge has a lvl req of 20 and abyss of something higher, with Tokyo at 50 but I haven't seen official word on that
Item consignment store - this kicks ass
the drops were sick but that may have been just for beta.
randomly spawning unique mosters about 1-2 per area, spawned when a normal monster dies. This was sporty when I was going after a boss and a lesser monster spawned a unique cascading blade slayer... lol
on top of that the respawn rate was insane. You could have cleared an area and then when you were kiting the boss you'd have it full of shit attacking you from the back again. They'll probably fix that as it was a main complaint in beta.
when removing mods there's a chance to lose the mod unless you buy some protecting thing from the item store (wasn't available in beta) - I removed maybe 6 mods in beta and lost about half
Similarly, when you nano an item it has a random chance of failing and being set to a LOWER level. Basically again requiring you to buy the item to ensure that doesn't happen.
New drops include blueprints for unique/legendary items quite a bit - we'll see if they drop as often for higher level shit like lee's or dunbars or Hu's and all that

Word is they left out the high res stuff to keep the client smaller. No one knows if it will be included at release.
