you have to get into this game for it to start being good? When I played it for only like an hour it didn't seem great

eh you probably won't like it then, doesn't change a whole lot from the first few hours.

its d2esque, but tbh i just like killing mobs and its got that kinda hacknslash type of play

it gets a little better but not much. if you dont like it at the begginning you probably wont like it

it's a very hit or miss game, as they said you'll be able to tell quickly.

it gets alot better as the game goes on..... your weapons become alot more useful later on as you mod them out with awesome mods.. cooler bosses to kill later on.

yeah but same gameplay. if you dont like it now you probably won't. like tecno siad its hit and miss

Alright thanks guys, I'll try it out since it's free.. only played at a friends house back when you had to buy it.. was "somewhere" in the game.. not sure how good he was

I disagree one of the things about Hellgate that makes me feel a bit bored early on is the lack of change in the envirornment it all looks the same except for a few select places such as techsmith 314's mind.

But once you hit stonehenge, abyss area or the new Tokyo content it's got alot more diversity in regards to the zone envirornments and that makes me enjoy it alot more, after all looking at the same scenary over and over is bound to get old.

But as far as the game play mode goes it's a great game worth the time to check it out when Open Beta rolls around (CBT is over).

yeah but the physics of the game dont really change. id definately atleast try it for a bit.

True if you don't like that style of gameplay then ya it's probably not for you personally I love it.

Makes me think of a cross between d2 and WoW with some fps aspects in it. Since you can play the game in first person or Third.
