I played d2 on US East forever, decided its time to switch it up.

What kind of char is good to start off with in this game?
Whats the best PVP char?
Why are there so many rumors of the game dieing?

hands down the strongest chara in the game pve and pvp is
1 evoke
2 mm

easiest lvling is mm

rumors of the game dying is because FFS is discontinuing with HGL but supposedly another company finishing what they started so HGL future seems blurry but still alive

Hopefully it'll be alive long enough for me to enjoy it, whats the difference between the realms also?

Evoker and Marksmen. I pretty much agree those are probably the strongest PvP or PvM characters for that matter. Most people play on the Shulgoth (US) server AFAIK. Not sure what the split is between Elite and Normal mode players.

evokers are prob #1 pvpers but hardest to lvl, suck at low lvl but own at high.
marksmen are peice of piss there for noobs imo >.>
engineer > mm in pvp

You want to discuss PvP at it's current state? I lol. Evokers better than MM? Sure, with 4 slot Slips with high % dmg maybe. But I am yet to see an Evoker > MM In game without Slips. Even white Shock rifles without properties can be a deadly weapon for MM.

easiest character to start with (imo) is the marksmen......look up your character build before starting it, once you place attribute or skill points they are locked unless you use retrainers that can (rare drops in the game)....if you want a good pve build, I can send you mine....

I can't get on multiplayer because the patch on the hellgatelondon website is corrupt or something?
Is there a patch that needs to be installed first? Lmk!

more then likely your DL speed may be slow and a file got corrupt.....delete and try again
