Isn't this amazing? In my opinion, they're shutting the forums down and then the servers sometime during the weekend. Shutting down the forums before the servers prevents us from go there and complain about it. AMAZING. Like I said before: I'm glad these idiots aren't making D3. They deserve this for doing what they did and what they're doing right now. I for one am never EVER again going to buy a game that says: From the makers of D2, much less From the makers of Hellgate. Imagine the employees now, it mustn't look good to have Flagship or Ping0 in your resume, not at all...Specially the developers.
Don't take me wrong please, I absolutely love HGL, I'm just pissed by their conduct towards us, customers. They stopped caring about us players and what we think after the beta-test (according to a friend of mine who was a beta-tester, and I don't doubt it, seeing how they're "handling us" at these times of crisis. I'm also pissed because I invested EVERYTHING I had in this game...over 2.2k fg, that are never being returned to me, EVER. I can only imagine how the founders and the people who bought the promotional stuff (Dye Kits, etc) are feeling right now.

Wasn't you like omg this games awesome everyone needs to get it and now your /raging the forums since this crap started ? care to let it go and get over it.

- they dont have the money, end of story. Stop bashing them for having financial difficulties, especially since you claim you love the game. They love it as much as you, believe me, they would prefer the forums stay up and the game goes on way more than you or me do...

Someone explain to me how its actually legal to shut down the servers? How could it be possible for them to offer a **LIFETIME** founders option for $150, and then be like.. nope sorry games over, we're gunna keep your money though.. I don't have the founders myself but... I would be extremely mad if I did lol.

I dont see how they can do it. But yeah, hellgate was fun while it lasted...

I'd have jumped at the founder's offer if I played at the time, glad i didn't...and it's not your lifetime, it's the lifetime of the game (according to some people I know who took the founder's offer)

And wolfman199011, you seem to not have read the whole thing, I said I love the game as well. I just hate the way they are dealing with things.

bad business decisions, companies go bankrupt left and right everyday....not the games fault it was a good one. When you bought the lifetime sub by doing so it said that basically it can last 1 day to 100 years. The lifetime fo the game. I hate to see them go as they had good people and good products.

lifetime of the game, not lifetime of the person.

Its all in the license agreement, its perfectly legal.

You know Kulith, I don't even bother reading those at all lol...not even the ToS of any game...
Because if ANYTHING happens (from storms to Alien invasion) it's all covered by them. There's nothing we can do at all I'm so disappointed that they took this action of just shutting it down First the forums, then a couple days later the servers (probably)

nobody reads those, its like 25 pages of stuff that doesn't apply to you.

Im just saying its well within their rights.

The MMORPG industry is still dominated by Ex-Blizzard employee's (Some of them went off for HGL but apparently failed, others went to make Guild wars and are hugely successful, and the last bit stayed in Blizzard to make WoW) so your vastly screwed in that aspect if you want to see millions of people

It's a shame the company went bankrupt though
